Ultrasonic Transducers
Morgan Electro Ceramics’ piezoceramic materials feature very good electrical loss properties, high coupling and excellent mechanical properties. Our excellent machining capabilities enable us to produce uniform (flat) geometries.
As a result, we are able to design and build very efficient ultrasonic sensors and
ultrasonic transducers. Standard products and bespoke solutions are available for medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial and defence applications.
With our patented cold weld technology we are able to manufacture very efficient piezoceramic stacks with low losses and high drive intensities, offering typically 20% better performance than conventional stacks.

Our transducers are designed using a
suite of in-house design tools,
including finite element analysis and modelling software, backed
by an extensive test and
measurement capability, including laser vibrometry and
displacement measurement.

Our design team has the expertise and the resources to optimise all types of
piezo sensor and piezo
transducer. They are experienced in all aspects of transducer design from acoustics and damping to adhesive technology. They have the capability to fine tune piezo materials, and to match drive circuitry to transducer characteristics for high performance in critical systems.
