Ultrasonic
Sensors
Morgan Electro Ceramics’ piezoceramic materials feature very good electrical loss properties, high coupling and excellent mechanical properties.
As a result, we are able to design and build very efficient ultrasonic sensors and
ultrasonic transducers. Standard product and bespoke solutions are available for medical, aerospace, industrial and defence applications.
We produce ultrasonic sensors using time-of-flight, Doppler and acoustic principals, for the measurement of a wide range of critical parameters such as level, flow, vibration, presence, distance and pressure.
Piezo sensors and piezo transducers can be combined with optical, temperature and / or pressure sensors to provide OEMs with a complete multi-functional
integrated sensor package from a single-source.
Our sensors are designed using our suite of in-house specialist design
tools, including finite element analysis and modelling software, backed by an extensive
test and measurement capability, including laser vibrometry and application-specific functional testing (e.g. transmit / receive sensitivity in a time of flight application).
Our design team has the expertise and the resources to optimize all types of piezo
ultrasonic sensor and piezo ultrasonic
transducer. They are experienced in all aspects of sensor design from acoustics and damping to adhesive technology. They have the capability to fine tune piezo materials and to match drive circuitry to transducer characteristics for high performance in critical systems.
